Immersed in Toyama's Sake, Iwase 2 day-trip
Iwase is a port of call for Kitamae-bune. Kitamae-bune was an economic distribution network that connected Hokkaido and Osaka through the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea from the middle of the Edo period to around 1897. Iwase was a prosperous port of call for Kitamae-fune, where the Kaga Clan's rice warehouse was established and many wealthy merchants such as shipping wholesalers were born.
In addition to the retro streetscape along the old Hokkoku Kaido, a number of stores have appeared one after another to introduce Toyama's sake culture, which now blends in with the town.
Please enjoy this 2-day sake trip, where you can get drunk in many ways, not only with sake.

This old house has been an apothecary for generations since the Edo period, and is a reminder of the family's commitment to the selling of medicines. From "Yamaki", a medicine seller, to "Yamaki", a museum where you can stay.
We want you to experience the history of Toyama's medicine sales and the family's thoughts and feelings with all five senses. This inn was born from the desire to let you experience the history of Toyama's medicine sales and the thoughts of the family. You can feel the culture of Iwasehama in this renovated old private house where you can experience the history and culture of Toyama.
Breakfast is served in a novel style, where you heat up your own bagel plate, which was jointly developed with Toyama's famous Tobeiguru.
In your room, we have prepared Toyama sake and specially selected snacks, so you can enjoy delicious sake to your heart's content in your room.
