Opened as "Tobira Onsen Myojinkan" in June 1931.

Executive Chef Masahiro Tanabe

Born in Yaita City, Tochigi Prefecture. After studying under Kazunori Otowa of "Otoi Restaurant", he trained in France and Italy before assuming his current position. He hopes to introduce to the world "Matsumoto Ippon Negi" and other Nagano foodstuffs that allow people to see the producer's face.

It is said that Ama-no-Tajikarao-no-mikoto, the deity who carried the Ama-no-Iwato (the Gate of Heaven), visited here and forgot the Iwato (the Gate of the Rock) in a relaxed mood, and that this is the Door Rock at Irizanbe.
