A new kind of luxurious and private travel experience in the era of living with COVID-19.
Take a chartered helicopter to the highly acclaimed design hotel, “Shiraiya Hotel” (Maebashi City, Gunma Prefecture).

We charter a Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters) “AS355” (4-passenger capacity, cruising speed 290 km/h), a highly safe twin-engine aircraft.
Since you will not be sharing the flight with third parties, you can travel between Tokyo and Maebashi with peace of mind and privacy, without worrying about COVID-19 infection. Additionally, there is no time spent on baggage screening or security checks.
With no traffic congestion to worry about, you can enjoy a private flight while leisurely taking in the views from the sky.

At Tokyo Heliport, we’ll escort you directly to your helicopter upon arrival. The flight to Gunma Airport takes approximately 35 minutes. At Gunma Airport, a shuttle bus exclusively for Shiraiya Hotel guests will be waiting for you.
After arrival, the shuttle bus will take you to Shiraiya Hotel (and will also take you back to Gunma Heliport for your return trip).

*The aircraft may be changed depending on the operating company’s circumstances.

Shiraiya Hotel

Shiraiya takes its name from a long-established ryokan in Maebashi with a 300-year history. From the Meiji through the Showa periods, it served as a ryokan designated as a purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency and was beloved by famous figures such as Mori Ōgai, gaining popularity as a prestigious inn.
After closing its doors in 2008 to much regret, the property underwent six and a half years of renovation and the construction of a new wing, eventually reopening in December 2020 as an art destination.

The rooms available through this special package include the “Junior Suite” (57 m²), located on the top floor of the <Heritage Tower>, or one of the four special rooms designed by world-renowned creators, or an Executive Room (52 m²).

For dining, the hotel’s main dining room, “the RESTAURANT” (supervised by Chef Hiroyasu Kawate, holder of two Michelin stars), serves artistic dishes crafted from carefully selected ingredients sourced from the Joshu region, complete with a beverage pairing course.

This package offers a two-day, one-night getaway where you can leave your daily routine behind and indulge in art, design, architecture, and cuisine to the fullest. Shiraiya Hotel and SKY TREK are proud to recommend this destination.

"I think this hotel, with its space brimming with authentic contemporary art, is truly one-of-a-kind—there’s nothing like it anywhere in the world. There are only four Special Rooms, so they’re very popular and book up quickly, but the other rooms are actually wonderful as well. Every room is decorated with a different work of art, and each has a unique layout and shape, so the moment you pick up your key and open the door to your room, you’re in for a different surprise every time—it’s always a delight.Leandro Erlich’s work *Lighting Pipe*, located in the lounge’s atrium, actually glows in various colors at night—this is something you absolutely must see; it offers a special experience that only guests can enjoy.”

The design of Shiraiya Hotel extends to “food” as well, and the dining experience—full of surprises—is another of its attractions. The main dining room, “the RESTAURANT,” is overseen by Hiroyasu Kawate of “Florilège,” a two-Michelin-starred French restaurant in Aoyama.
